Description
A low fuming flux coated brazing alloy formulated for easy use in adverse maintenance conditions
Procus 95f is outstanding for its ease of application and, because of its highly active flux coating, for its ability to permeate deep into the metal’s grain boundaries to form a tenacious bond.
- super active flux – ideal dirty applications.
- controllable deposits – great for bridging gaps.
- great for joining thick to thin metals.
- can be applied in all positions – even overhead.
Procus 95f – an alloy for those troublesome maintenance brazing applications
Procus 95f is a brazing alloy development formulated for ease of use in general maintenance work. Its premium quality flux coating consists of special chemicals that quickly remove surface contaminants
Brazing is a work function that is performed in practically all maintenance workshops. It is not uncommon for many of the jobs to be brazed to be contaminated with a variety of materials. That being so will, generally, necessitate the cleaning of those components or equipment before the brazing can be commenced or even completed. This can be costly in time and could even create undue delays in the completion of the work at hand.
Procus 95f is a flux coated brazing alloy which employs a special flux formulation that is designed to eliminate the need for cleaning prior to the brazing job being carried out. The special scavengers incorporated in the flux formulation agitate and remove contaminants from the metal surfaces and from within the grain boundaries of the materials being brazed. Once the dirt and other contaminants are freed they float to the surface of the molten flux pool, leaving the surface perfectly clean for the brazing process.
The procus 95f alloy composition consists of special deoxidisers which aid the fluidity of the alloy once the optimum operating temperature is obtained. Additionally, because the deposition of the alloy is easily controlled during its application and, because of its broad working temperature range, the product can be used to braze difficult jobs but also to bridge gaps and join thin materials. This is a great advantage in maintenance where a variety of job situations are generally encountered.
Procus 95f alloy forms a tenacious bond and can be used on cast irons, malleable irons, stainless steel, galvanised metals and other materials. Cast iron should be seared with an oxidising flame and wire brushed to remove surface graphite and impurities.
Tensile strength – up to 410 mpa (60,000 psi) as welded
Colour match to brass & bronze – good
Machineability – excellent
