Description
An alloy formulation designed to provide extraordinary wear resistance under extreme conditions
ProCus 92F is an alloy formulation designed to provide extraordinary wear resistance under extreme conditions. Its low co-efficient of friction provides resistance to wear of up to 14 times that of ordinary steels.
- Super low co-efficient of friction.
- Easy to apply to cast iron as well as steel.
- Fully machineable – can be drilled & tapped.
- Work hardens to give better wear resistance.
- Bonds easily to stainless steel. Deposits can be easily controlled.
Procus 92f is a premium gas brazing alloy known for its superior toughness and resistance to wear. Ideal for maintenance applications
An alloy development which has been formulated to provide ease of application for the repair of worn and broken parts and which will also exhibit superior resistance to frictional wear, even under extreme conditions.
Ordinary brazing rods are primarily used for the joining of materials such as steels and cast irons and their practical use beyond those usages are extremely limited. They exhibit insufficient strength to be used to make repairs to parts that may be subjected to operational stress and, if the material being repaired is contaminated, then there is every likelihood that an unsound joint repair may result.
ProCus 92F exhibits many outstanding features. The superior flux formula employed with 92F contains highly active scavengers which, when applied and heated to the optimum temperature, penetrate deep into the grain boundaries of the material being brazed. These scavengers will remove stubborn contaminants, bringing them to the surface, and prepares the material for the repair to be made.
ProCus 92F alloy is a most remarkable brazing alloy. It is super easy to apply, making it ideal for most maintenance applications, particularly where contaminated materials need to be repaired. It can be successfully used for the repair of bearing surfaces, cams, shafts, gear teeth etc. and, because of its low co-efficient of friction, it will provide up to 14 times the wear resistance of mild steel in frictional wear applications.
Layer upon layer of the alloy can be applied and the deposit can be flamed shaped to minimise machining.
Deposits of ProCus 92F exhibit excellent machine ability, work harden-ability and high strength repairs.
It can be applied to variety of material types including galvanised iron, cast iron, stainless steel, steels, nickel, bronze, brass and most other metals.
