Description
An alloy formulated to weld the higher tensile strength steels
Procus 660 is of a particular chemistry so as to provide sound weld deposits that exhibit higher physical properties
- exceptionally high tensile strength for the joining of the higher strength steels.
- excellent machinability – machines like free machining steel.
- moisture resistant flux coating.
- welds dirty steels without porosity.
The smooth arc characteristics of procus 660 makes for ease of application in those difficult to weld positions
Procus 660. A highly alloyed electrode that will provide high strength weld deposits with excellent arc transfer.
In maintenance it is quite common for there to be a need to perform weld repairs on steel structures that are obviously subjected to extreme forces, such as with earthmoving equipment etc. These steels are often manufactured from higher strength steels and so it is undesirable for weld repairs to be done with ordinary welding rods. Weld failure on such equipment can lead to very expensive downtime.
Procus 660 is an alloyed steel electrode especially formulated for welding the higher strength steels. It is an all position electrode exhibiting an excellent arc transfer and that makes it ideal for maintenance repairs, particularly when repairs need to be done in areas of poor accessibility.
Deposits provide exceptionally high elongation and ductility and can provide crack free welds under highly stressed repair conditions. This is a great advantage in maintenance repair welding where and when high strength steels need to be weld repaired. An additional advantage with procus 660 is that the arc provides a smooth transfer of the molten metal and the flux is easily removed, providing ease of application in those difficult to weld situations.
Procus 660 is ideal for successfully weld the rusty and dirty steels very often encountered in maintenance.
